I don’t pull out the “H word” on too many people. Especially not on people’s grandmas. I mean, that’s not cool. But after today’s press conference and Today show interview confirming her type 2 diabetes, I’ll admit I felt it. I felt it real bad. I think my blood even began to boil.

I’m sorry for her health condition but Paula’s recipes are a bit, shall we say, over the edge. The sugar, the unhealthy fats, the deep frying. Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding, anyone? Disgusting. When you call your deep fryer an item you can’t live without it’s little freaking wonder when you develop type 2 diabetes.

That type of eating is just not consistent with good health.

But the fact that she’s known about this for three years and continued to happily push her shit food on to the world is a crime.

That she’s now only coming forward with this “news” (that The National Enquirer already reported on nearly a year ago) so she can pitch a diabetes drug (and get paid) is worse.

That she appears to rely on the drug versus taking responsibility and really looking at diet for her lifestyle woes (and making the necessary adjustments) is even worse than that.

“No. People are not going to quit eating; we quit eating, we’re all out of here,” Deen said. “I wanted to bring something to the table when I came forward.”

That really should say, I want to bring something to the table…AND GET PAID…when I came forward.

You don’t have to quit eating, Paula. You have to quit eating the shit foods you’ve been preaching to America all these years. But, to Paula’s credit, you can’t sell a product that people don’t want to buy and America has continued to lap up her craptastic recipes…

Anthony Bourdain was right when he said that Paula was:

“the worst, most dangerous person to America,” who “revels in her unholy connections with evil corporations

He’s obviously being a bit dramatic in his choice of language, but I think you get the point. He’s saying she’s disingenuous and her motives are, ahem, biased. Now Paula’s pitching for yet another corporation - a big pharma corporation. Hey now! That’s where the real big bucks are! Instead of taking responsibility for her actions, publicly making diet modifications and trying to help the many Americans who are headed down the same Diabetes path, Paula is just further lining her pockets.

Fix your diet. Move your ass a bit more. Don’t rely on miracle drugs (‘cause there aren’t any).

I’m absolutely disgusted by this story.

Shame on you.
